A sequel that dives into how dinosaurs and humans interact in the modern world sounds like a thrilling idea for Jurassic World 4, and is the perfect setup to look at new characters. One of the main complaints with Jurassic World Dominion was its story didn't take advantage of the exciting setup of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. In an interview ( via Deadline), director Colin Trevorrow suggested he didn't explore the implications of a world where dinosaurs roam free as he wanted to leave it for future movies. BioSyn's headquarters is turned into a global sanctuary for them and a few do still roam in the wild. Several of the sequel trilogy stories get tied up, and the major conflict with the dinosaurs is largely resolved. Jurassic World: Dominion's ending doesn't overtly set up a future for the franchise. No details about the Jurassic World 4 story have been confirmed yet. Given the feeling of closure Jurassic World: Dominion offered, it would make sense that Jurassic World 4 would focus on a new cast of characters. In any case, it not only confirms that she will not appear in Jurassic Park 4, but suggests the rest of the Jurassic World cast is done as well. It's unclear if this is Howard speculating on the direction the franchise will take from here, or if she actually knows something about the plans for future Jurassic movies such as Jurassic World 4. However, Howard also shared that " I'm very excited for the folks who will carry the Jurassic saga forward." She went on to say "It will be a largely different cast and all that." In an interview ( via People), Howard explains the sadness she felt as wrapping Jurassic World: Dominion and insisted that it was the end of her time in the Jurassic World franchise. The strongest Jurassic Park 4 news came from Bryce Dallas Howard as she bid farewell to the franchise shortly after filming wrapped on Dominion - and hinted there is more to come within this universe.
